updated patches for Live CD with FreeBSD 8.0-RC2 + GNOME

Hi FreeSBIEers,

Just in case someone is interested: I've updated the FreeBSD+GNOME
patches for FreeSBIE at

  http://gavare.se/freebsd-gnome-live-cd/

so that they work with FreeBSD 8.0-RC2.

(I've only tried the result in QEMU so far, not on real hardware.)

Anders

Re: updated patches for Live CD with FreeBSD 8.0-RC2 + GNOME

Any chance of resurrecting Freesbie 2.1 with TOR?  I still use 2.1 because it is really good.  If it had flashplayer it would be my desktop os.

If anyone contributes, may be. On my side: I started my Ph.D. in a different country this year and I'm working
on a completely different topic, so I don't have much time for FreeSBIE now. We'll see what the future will bring...

Ciao

The Onion Router (Tor) is a free software implementation of
second-generation onion routing enabling Internet anonymity by thwarting
network traffic analysis.

Re: updated patches for Live CD with FreeBSD 8.0-RC2 + GNOME

For Matteo Riondato:

Thank you for your reply.  Good luck with your Doctorate, I wish you all the best.

For Dan Angelescu,

TOR is an anonymous browsing program.  It is included on Freesbie 2.1.  You start it by opening a terminal and typing:  'freesbie_tor start'.  It can be useful in internet cafe's and when you don't want any traces left of your browsing.
