netbsd-6 from 26-July-2012 hanging

Hi,

Since netbsd-6 is an ever-moving target still, I figured I'd ask here
first. I compiled a netbsd-6 GENERIC kernel and put it on my VAXstation
4000/90a along with netbsd-6 base.tgz. After reboot, it hangs. If I boot
using a netbsd-5 userland, the kernel boots fine. If I boot -a, it asks
for init, then hangs.

The only way out is dropping to the boot ROM prompt. There is no response
on the serial port when it hangs.
