Well, you should have a serial terminal on the other side. It's 
currently complicated to get everything onto the disk what's needed 
there.
You have to copy all modules that are needed for booting to that disk, 
and you currently also have to make symlinks to beos/system/add-ons/
kernel/boot to all modules that are required to access the boot volume, 
which are quite many.
In addition to that, the kernel does not yet understand partitions, so 
that you have to boot from a BFS image directly, without a partitioning 
table (the boot loader doesn't have this restriction).
