Fix for latest snapshot

FYI,

User's testing the latest snapshot may notice that it fails to download
any additional packages / desktops post-installation. You can fix this
by running as root:

# pbreg set /PC-BSD/Version 9-STABLE-20120605

Re: Fix for latest snapshot

After issuing command:

pbreg set /PC-BSD/Version 9-STABLE-20120605

as root and rebooting, pc-bsd update manager on notification
area of gnome panel indicates:

Your system is fully updated

Is this what is to be expected on a snapshot that has never had a system
update applied?

Just to be clear, this was only for the latest snapshot, the one
released last week, 20120605. Are you running that, or an older snap?

Re: Fix for latest snapshot

I'm running latest snapshot:

uname -a
FreeBSD pcbsd-1403 9.0-STABLE FreeBSD 9.0-STABLE #12: Wed May 30
11:16:35 PDT 2012
root@...:/usr/obj/builds/amd64/pcbsd-build90/fbsd-source/9.0/sys/GENERIC
amd64

Installed a couple of days ago as per my prior post on testing about
my installation experience complete with pc-install debug log for
installation failures.

Hi,

hmm, I've no problems to download additional packages.
VirtualBoxGuest and Firefox just finished.

VirtualBoxGuest was - as announced - not included.
I've installed virtualbox-ose-additions-4.1.16.tbz manually.
But other PBI's can be downloaded without problems so far.
