9.1-RC2 - TrueOS - Error configuring static ip
Hello, TrueOS install using PC-BSD x64 9.1-RC2: - in the network configuration dialog box, select actual network device in the "Network Interface" selection - enter values for ip address, netmask, nameserver, gateway - leave ipv6 values blank After install completes, the resulting /etc/rc.conf file contains lines for defaultrouter= and hostname=, but there is no ifconfig_xxx= line present. Hence, there is also no connectivity until the user manually edits rc.conf to configure the network interface. The "AUTO-DHCP-SLAAC" and "AUTO-DHCP" selections for Network Interface both produce a functional rc.conf. Keep up the good work, Mikey
