Message to ISR.-

Dear RTEMS users and developers,

I've seen the (circa 2003) wishlist item consideration for an ISR user 
parameter, but it seems that it wasn't finally implemented.

What's the preferred way to reliably pass a small message from a task to 
an ISR ?
