Yes -- I thought that it would be easier to buy one rather than make
one (unless you really want to make one #6-).

The first adapter that I bought didn't work.  It wasn't labelled for any 
particular vendor.

To add to the list of LCDs, it turns out my Viewsonic VX900 can also display native Sun resolution.  The only
problem it has is a slight wave in the horizontal sync (the screen jitters very slightly) but it otherwise
displays fine with 66 Hz (actually 65.8 according to the monitor) refresh.
