smpatch & pca download directory.

I see by default that smpatch uses /var/sadm/spool to download the .zip files.

Is there any problem with making pca's default download directory equal to smpatch download directory?

Or asked another way are the patches downloaded by smpatch any different than pca?

Thanks

Robert

Dear Robert,

that works perfectly together or rather coexists. I use "pca -
X /var/sadm/spool -P /var/sadm/spool ..."

So, /var/sadm/spool/patchdiag.xref is fetched by pca,
while /var/sadm/spool/cache is maintained by smpatch. You will observe a time
lag between both tools: pca is always faster in detecting new patches.

If 'smpatch download' fetches a patch, 'pca -d' is happy with it and will not
download it again, as both uses the patchfiles in "zip"-format.

Greetings
Martin
