simple openwrt captive portal solution w/o password

hi!

is anyone aware of a captive portal solution compatible with openwrt
that produces a mere disclamer/splash page? i know that this is
possible to do with chillispot, but it is difficult for me to set up,
because it requires a server with apache2/ssl/perl/cgi/freeradius and
so on.. after two days of installing i am tired of that!

thank you,

Wifidog is a terrific option, but if all you want is a splash page,
check out NoCatSplash... there's an OpenWRT package for it (last I
checked) and it runs without a server side dependency.

Wifidog - or try to post your question in the OpenWrt forum - just
choose either WhiteRussian or Kamikaze section.

This is the one developed by the great montrealers Ile Sans Fil - some
of you will remember Hugo in Dharamsala.

We use it in Ottawa as well! As do many others - http://dev.wifidog.org/
