Who to call? Finding property manager

My office is in Fairfax, VA. I need to go down for a week and would rather stay in my fifth wheel than at a hotel.
From Sunday to Friday, I'd stay at a local campground. On Friday morning, I'd need to pack up and park near
the office for the day.

There is a shopping center next to my office with a big parking lot that is generally not terribly populated
during the day. There's a corner of the parking lot that is a pretty straight shot into from the road and
would be the least populated.

My real question is - in this case, who would I call to park the truck + fifth wheel for the day? For the most
part, I just need a really big parking spot - but I'm sure my coworkers are going to be curious and will want to
check out the fifth wheel. Kohl's is the biggest store closest, but there is also a small strip of shops near
it. Is there anyway of finding out who the property manager is for a parking lot and calling them? I don't
like the idea of just parking it and heading into the office. I'm usually sequestered off in a windowless
conference room for the day.

Here's the area:

Thanks.

Re: Who to call? Finding property manager

If Kohl's is the anchor for the shopping center, I'd ask their manager. Or, I
would leave a note on the windshield saying it will be gone by a certain time
and put your cell number on it. It might also work to just tell someone at the
local Police Station, assuring them that it is only for the day and no one will
be sleeping in it. Of course, then you are in a bind if they say you can't do
it.

You likely are safe just doing it and not worrying about it. Each store may
think some other store has given you permission. Just be sure it isn't in the
way of customers or delivery trucks, and likely no one will care or give it a
second thought. Good luck -- hope the ticket isn't too expensive.

Re: Who to call? Finding property manager - try this

Doug,

Easy answer. For malls, call mall security. Sometimes their phone number is hard to find but call any store
in the mall and they will have it (or a main mall office).

Good luck.

Leave it at a nearby campground

Re: Who to call? Finding property manager - try this

My big concern was check-out day (Friday). I was going to need to pull it from the campground, but still work
most of the day.

Plans changed, though... I'm sticking around the area until Saturday and will not have to work that day.

Thanks everyone for their input!
