Note that I am actually
replacing Charlie Barans (reducing number from SC and from state agencies) who
is retiring within a year and that Jon Hare (NOAA) is no longer in the
southeast, although I am sure he is still involved (but that could
change?).

Dear everyone:
As I suspected, the "team" continues to be heavily loaded with "edu" types, with two (2) state (note only SC!), a couple fed (GOV, Seagrant) , and one (1) fisheries council representative.
Do I dare repeat that we need to engage industry folks, other state agencies in other states, not just by secretly sending the draft documents, but by openly inviting them and including in the "team"?
How do we open this process? Can the SEACOOS outreach representative(s) take charge of disseminating/engaging others, since the "team" does not seem to get to the point of doing this?

It has been greatly improved (and it has grown a bit in length) in
response to your input. There is an attempt to have general ideas as
well as specific examples for consideration.
Cisco,
Thanks for forwarding this version. With the receipt of this draft, your team
folder has been published:
